The Vancouver 2010 Organising Committee (VANOC) is encouraging spectators going to this year’s Olympic Winter Games, without prearranged transport to the competition venues, to Travel Smart . Getting to and from an Olympic venue at Games time is always a little different because of the unique nature of the Olympic Games. This is why all spectators should know before they go how they are going to arrive and depart from the venue(s) where they will see the world’s best athletes compete. In Vancouver There is no spectator parking at any Olympic venue , so the best option is to use public transport or to walk to the venue. VANOC and its local transportation partners have created a website called www.travelsmart2010.ca , which can help you find the most up-to-date information and the best way to access your venue by public transport.
