Another Canadian alpine skier has been forced out of the Vancouver Olympics, after Kelly VanderBeek crashed during World Cup training on Thursday. While the 26-year-old who lives in Chilliwack was conscious, her left leg was in a splint as she was carried off the course on a stretcher. She sustained a suspected anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in her left knee, ending her season and her Olympic hopes.

Molson Canadian Hockey House officials have slashed the entry price to the Olympic hockey pavilion from $500 for an all-you-can-eat-and-drink, all-day pass to $99 for a “Fan Zone” pass that lets you stay for half a day.

PORRENTRUY, Switzerland – Eddy Ferhi is a goaltender in one of the most historic hockey towns in France: Grenoble. The city situated at the foot of the French Alps that hosted the 1968 Olympics will host the Continental Cup Super Final in January. “It’s a classic hockey town in France,” said Ferhi. The 3,500-capacity arena Patinoire Pôle Sud has been sold out for five of six home games this season.
